That streak that was definitely not the Flash still had Barry very confused. Gordon had his thoughts that it was The Flash and Barry wasn't going to argue about it. At least this way, Gordon being the detective that he is, would have no idea to even begin thinking Barry was The Flash. Unless he somehow already knew and was just entertaining the idea. This kind of made Barry nervous because Gordon has been doing this for a long time and if he had any suspicion he could figure it out just as easily as the man we all thought was Doctor Harrison Wells figured out that Oliver Queen was the Arrow. But until it became a problem, Barry would just keep on like normal. That's all he really could do. Gordon had this purse snatcher arrested; even had to take the man down for trying to escape. But while Gordon's focus was over there, Barry spent some time examining the residue that was left behind. There was a patch of soil that was holding a bit of an electrical charge. Barry wasn't sure what was up with this, but he was going to take a sample, and examine it himself. He may just take it back to Central City and has Cisco look at it, just so he doesn't give any hints to Gordon. He puts the sample in a container and puts it in his forensics bag. At about this same time, Gordon had received a call.
Gordon\\ Hello? Ah, Alfred! Long time no speak... so what can I do for you? Is something wrong at Wayne Manor?... Those damn kids. Alright, I'll be right over.
Gordon hung up the phone and he looked right over at Barry, calling him over.
Gordon\\ Mister Alan! Get over here!
Barry was caught off guard for a second there.
Barry\\ Huh? Oh... Gordon's calling me. Come on, Barry, you've gotta get your head in the game. Gordon thinks it's the Flash and you can't let him think that you're thinking otherwise or else he might figure you out. Alright, deep breath...
Gordon\\ Alan! Now!
Barry\\ Man, he's almost sounding like the Captain. Well, better do as the boss says.
Barry rushes over to Gordon with a light jog.
Barry\\ Ya call me, Commissioner?
Gordon\\ Yeah, had to yell because you didn't hear me the first three times.
Barry\\ Sorry about that. I... I thought I found something over there from that streak, but it was nothing.
Gordon\\ Don't worry about that streak, kid. I just got a call from Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne's old butler. I guess he's back at Wayne Manor and said there's some vandalism going on, a couple of punk teenagers so I'm gonna call this guy in and then we need to head over there.
Barry\\ Uh... yeah sure. Whatever you need. I'll just be waiting in the car.
Gordon\\ Alright, I'll be over there in just a few.
Barry went to the car, and as he got it and Gordon was on the phone, I gave Cisco a call.
Cisco\\ Hey, Barry! How's Gotham!? Oh! And Caitlyn says hi!
Barry\\ Very dark, gloomy and rainy.
Cisco\\ Seems like the perfect place for the bat.
Barry\\ More or less. But I'm calling because right when I got here some weird stuff happened.
Cisco\\ What kind of weird?
Barry\\ Another speedster. Red streak.
Cisco\\ Wait.. what? First.. how could there be another speedster... and second... Reverse-Flash had a red streak... and I thought we got rid of Thawne?! Would this have anything to do with that Helmet that came through the worm hole do you think?
Barry\\ Me too, and we did. This definitely wasn't Thawne. He stopped a purse robber, Cisco. Eobard Thawne definitely wouldn't do that.
Cisco\\ Good point. So what do you need?
Barry\\ I'm in the car right now, waiting on Commissioner Gordon. I guess we've gotta head over to Wayne Manor so he can take care of a couple of punk kids trying to mess with the place. I got a sample from the small patch of soil he was standing on. It managed to hold an electrical charge so maybe there's something in the residue and I'm going to need you to take a look at it. I don't want to risk Gordon figuring me out or putting it on Gotham's radar using their system because Gordon thinks it was The Flash.
Cisco\\ Got it. When can you get in here?
Barry\\ As soon as we're done at Wayne Manor I'll be on the way.
Cisco\\ Coolio! .. yeah, I'll never say that again. Anyway, take some pictures while you're at it! I've always wanted to see Wayne Manor up close.
Barry\\ Uh... sure. Alright anyway, I gotta go. Gordon is coming.
Cisco\\ Over and out!
Just as Barry hung up and put away the phone, Gordon opened the door and sat in the driver seat.
Gordon\\ Alright, some officers are going to be over to grab that perp in a few minutes so lets head over to Wayne Manor to take care of these punks so we can call it a night.
Barry\\ That sounds great, to me. I could use some rest.
Barry really didn't need to, but Gordon didn't need to know that. They pull up to the gates of Wayne Manor, and Alfred buzzes them in. The gates open and Gordon drives up where Alfred meets them at the front door. The car is shut off and the two get out and walk up to the door.
Gordon\\ Alfred, is everything alright? I don't see any teenagers.
Alfred\\ I'm afraid there are no teenagers, sir. But I was afraid you wouldn't come if I just invited you over for a cup of tea. And I see you've brought Mister Allen as well, very good, sir. We've been expecting you both.
Gordon\\ We? What's this about, Alfred? Please, come in and all will be explained.
Barry\\ Commissioner, What's going on?
Gordon\\ Not too sure, Barry, but Alfred is one of the few people in this town I've known I could trust for a very long time. So let's see what he needs.
Barry\\ Hope you're right.
Gordon\\ We wouldn't be here if it wasn't important.
Barry was nervous, but if Gordon said he was good to be trusted, that's all that Barry could do in unfamiliar territory was to trust his word. This was going to be interesting.

"Good to see you again Jim."
Allowing the door to close before I spoke up.. This was a tricky situation, I knew Gordon had a hunch that I secretly was The Bat- Alfred on the other hand didn't want it to come to that point as he felt that could damage Gordon's view on The Bat as a symbol. He might know, but the uncertainty there was what kept hope alive, despite the absence of us both over the past few years. When I called out to him, Gordon's brow arched as.. it wasn't if he was surprised to see me but he did cock a grin.
"It's like Haiti in Gotham, zombies everywhere!"
The young man with him, he looked to be in law enforcement, but the way he carried himself- I instantly knew better. He looked.. amazed what I was standing where I was though.
"Whoa.. B- Bruc.. Bruce.. Wayne?! You're.. Alive?!"
"I think so, I've been told differently though."
"So what brings you back, Bruce?"
"I was hungry and El Salvador's greatest export was strawberries. Nothing beats a good old fashioned deep-dish pizza from Gotham City. And some other recent turn of events, you know how I like to live in the shadows, Jim."
"I can respect that. Despite that Oscar-worthy performance by Alfred at your 'funeral' where we laid you to rest along side your parents, I had a feeling you were out there somewhere.. I'm surprised you returned though, you could of built your life elsewhere Bruce.. You could of escaped the madness that this city is spiraling into. I'm the commissioner of GCPD and even I can't take opening up a newspaper and seeing what's come of it.. now with Cobblepot running for Mayor?! And Dent returning!?"
Him mentioning Dent in that light tipped me off of knowing that he knew who I was. Commissioner Gordon was a lot of things, stupid wasn't one of them. Maybe he was playing naive to keep himself technically clean of one of the most sought after secrets in the world, and I could respect that. Looking over at the kid, I saw no resemblance to the other 'speedster' that was currently hiding somewhere in Wayne Manor to protect the universe from collapsing on itself. It still was driving me insane how the world had suddenly turned into a science-fiction novel, but that's what happens when I go away, I figured.
"I agree, it's part of the reason why I came back. My efforts are needed to save the city-"
Gordon quickly shot me a glare- as if he knew what I was about to say..
".. my service as Gotham's top philanthropist is needed. Wayne Enterprises is booming, and that money can be put to use in helping restore Gotham City's Police Department to respectable conditions. You though, you're new, aren't you? What's your name?"
Looking in the direction of Barry Allen, apparently who went by The Flash while donning a crimson and yellow suit that allowed him to move quicker than the speed of light, I'd get a feel for the kid.. Gordon sort of sighed at my words- he may know deep down that I was The Bat, but it'd be nothing he'd ever want to actually HEAR me say. Keeping my eyes fixed on Barry Allen, I couldn't believe this youngster was the 'meta-human' as they called them these days that was able to do what he do.. But we'd see what he was made of- much like the little breaking point test I put John Blake through, I wanted to see if Barry Allen could be trusted- he'd make or break my opinion on him.. really.. really fast.

This was unreal. Completely and utterly unreal. Bruce Wayne, BRUCE FREAKIN' WAYNE was ALIVE! How was one supposed to believe this? And there must have been a really good reason for all of this. But I guess where there was a will there was a way. What really had Barry confused was where was Bruce Wayne all of this time, then? Barry just couldn't believe his eyes, this was so unreal. Barry stood there, almost frozen in place until Gordon elbowed him.
Gordon\\ Say something kid. He's not gonna bite.
Barry\\ Huh?... Uh.. yeah, right, sorry! Excuse me, Mister Wayne, it's just that.. I've always admired the work you and your family has done for Gotham City, it's just that it's an honor to meet you. And I can't say that I'm a little shocked considering everybody thought you were dead and all. It was all over the news.
Bruce\\ Well the death of a famous family does tend to have that effect. But please, call me Bruce. There's no need for all of the formalities, we're all friends here. I see you've been busy.. Barry, was it?
Barry\\ Ye--yeah. Barry.
Bruce\\ Great. Please, have a seat. No need for us all to be standing around for no reason. I asked Alfred to call you, Jim.
Gordon\\ That makes a little more sense. Alright kid, let's take a seat. If Bruce is coming to us about being alive then there's something he's gotta tell us.
All three men take a seat and as they do, Alfred brings out some tea and sets it on the table, getting a "Thanks Alfred" by Bruce, all three men pick up their respective cups and each drink a little bit.
Barry\\ So... Bruce.. if you don't mine me asking.. and if this is prying to far, please let me know but... what happened to you? I mean since you obviously didn't die, I mean.
Bruce\\ It's a long story, Barry. Everybody will know in due time but I think we should cut the formalities and just get down to business.
Barry\\ Bu--business?
Bruce\\ Yes; to the reason I called you both here. Barry, I know that you've been around that streak the people have come to know in Central City as "The Flash" quite a bit.
Barry\\ I-- I uh, wouldn't say.. a lot. I had an encounter or two with him running by but that's about it.
Bruce\\ It's okay, Barry. There's no need for secrets here. I know you're him.
Gordon\\ Bruce, what are you talking about?
Bruce\\ Just because I've been gone for a couple of years doesn't mean I'm not rusty on my detective game, Jim. It didn't take me long to realize that whenever The Flash was around, you weren't, Barry. When I had a young visitor telling me about all of the things I missed.. like Superman, ATOM, The Arrow, Arsenal and yes, The Flash, I did a little bit of digging.
Gordon\\ What are you getting at? Are you trying to say that Allen is Superman, ATOM, Arrow or Arsenal? Because we know The Arrow was that Roy Harper kid and he got killed in jail. And Arsenal is a woman now.
Barry looks perplexed.
Bruce\\ I'm aware of that, Jim. With a little help from a friend, and some digging of my own I discovered that Barry Allen, the top forensic scientist for the Central City Police Department is The Flash.
Gordon\\ That's impossible, Bruce. Barry was with me when we saw The Flash stop a mugger outside of Paul's Diner. You could ask Joyce, she served us.
Barry\\ Hey! Yeah that's right!
"HEY! YO POPS!"
Gordon & Barry\\ Pops?!
They two looked at each other, then back to Bruce who sighed.
Bruce\\ Well, I guess there's no better time.
Wally then steps out from the Hallway and is stunned for a moment, seeing Gordon and Barry together in the study of Wayne Manor with Bruce and Alfred.
Wallace\\ Oh dang, I didn't realize we had company!
Bruce\\ It's okay, Wally. It's time to tell them what we discussed.
Gordon and Barry are just... so confused.
Bruce\\ This young man came to my door a few weeks ago and at first, we thought he might have just been an orphan, so I hid out in another room while Alfred answered the door but he already knew I was here. I know, confusing, right? Well it took me a minute to believe it myself. This kid knew that I had just arrived, he knew who my guest was that had just left, and he knew a secret about me that only Alfred has known for a very long time. He filled eme in on some of the things going on while I was gone... while making fun of me while he was at it.
Wallace\\ Hey! What's family for, ya know?!
Gordon\\ I didn't know you had a child, Bruce.
Bruce\\ I'll tell you both more about that in just a minute, then it will all make sense. See, Jim when you thought you saw the Flash... to a degree you were right. It was A Flash, but not The Flash... not of this time period anyway.
Gordon\\ So it was The Flash, then? But not the.. Central City, Flash? I don't follow.
Bruce\\ That's exactly it, Jim. He comes from the future, the year Two Thousand and Forty, twenty five years from now.
Gordon\\ So you're telling me he's from 2040 huh... I tell ya, Gotham City gets more and more weird every day.
Barry\\ You're telling me you're not the slightest bit freaked out by this?
Gordon\\ Not really. Not considering what's out there now and what The Bat dealt with right here in Gotham.
Wallace\\ ALLLSSOOOO I think it's worth mentioning that the little blackout you guys had? It wasn't Joker.
Gordon\\ We know. It was an electrical storm.
Wallacce\\ A freak electrical storm, right? Weellll... it was caused by me.
Gordon and Barry sitting on the couch... their jaws are basically to the floor without them really moving. Gordon acted like it didn't surprise him but the more and more this kid spoke, he confused Gordon even more.
Wallace\\ Bruce is right. Barry is the Flash because... he's my uncle.
Barry\\ Whaaat? Uncle?! How?! I-- I don't even have any siblings?! How could they even have kids?! I'm so confused.
Wallace\\ My name is Wally and I am your Nephew but that's all I can tell you because I'm afraid my existence in your time has already changed everything in the future. In twenty five years, you're still The Flash and they call me Kid Flash.
Gordon\\ Flash and Kid Flash? I'm not following.
Wallace\\ Here! I'll show ya!
Wally indeed shows them. He takes off speeding around the study, and all over the manor, knocking many of Bruce's expensive collectibles over. They'd hid the ground and break, irreplaceable items would be shattered. Barry shook his head. He really didn't want to do this but since the cat was already out of the bag... Barry took off. A gust from behind him as Gordon was taken back.. literally. Barry chased Wally around, keeping Bruce's things from falling, all the while Bruce kept a smile on his face. The two found themselves back in the study, standing face to face.
Gordon\\ So you are the Flash then, aren't ya kid.
Barry smirked, and let out a little "Yeah.."
Gordon\\ Well that makes me feel a little bit safer then. But if you could have run here from Central City, why take the train?
Barry\\ Only a few people know my secret, and now you three are included in that circle. It's very important that it doesn't get out because...
Bruce\\ ..You feel like your family and friends could become a target for your enemies? It's okay, Barry. We understand. Everybody has secrets and yours was not easy to figure out. Had Wally not even said anything I probably would have never even begun my search. Your secret is safe with us.
Barry\\ Thank you. Now.. you mentioned that storm was cause by you... coming back from 2040?
Wally\\ Well, now that the serious stuff is outta the way... heck yeah, man! I mean it was strange. But with Bruce's help I was able to pretty much figure out how it happened. I was chasin' a giant Gorilla named Grodd.... haha yeah you know him a bit too well don't ya, unc? He totally kicked your butt! Ha ha. Anyway I was chasin' this big old monkey man and then BAM I'm here in Gotham. Turns out, or at least so we think ya know, that the worm hole that you used to go back to try and save Great Aunt Nora that turned into that giant black hole... well when it opened in Central City on your end, the other side was Central City 2040 and when it took me in, it brought me here to Gotham. All the zips and zaps, power out stuff and all of that fun stuff! Pretty crazy stuff, man. But once I realized things weren't in my time, and seen it was 2015, man, I knew there was only one spot I could go, and that's here! In this time, I'm not born for another year or so and I sought out Bruce to help me get home. Then when he figured out everything about you... well... ya know man I didn't wanna tell ya anything because the time is already messed up enough. But Brucie convinced me it would be a good idea since you've got the experience with time travel and MY Barry Allen isn't here! Booooo!
Gordon\\ Okay so.. he came back in time and... you went BACK in time?! My lord what is this world coming to! Haha, Bruce... how do you meet these people.
Bruce\\ They seem to just fall into my lap, Jim. But you're the one that brought Barry here or did you already forget?
Gordon\\ Haha alright, alright. So the big question is what happens from here?
Bruce\\ Well, in the mean time, Barry doesn't have to hide The Flash from Gotham. To the world, Batman is gone and Gotham is going to need another hero for a little bit. Having two of you won't be such a bad idea as long as you've got separate costumes. In the mean time, you two should probably head over to S.T.A.R. labs when you get time, too, see what they can do for you and I'll work on it on my end here. Right now, you are the only ones that know I'm even alive, let alone back in Gotham.
Barry\\ Sounds good to me. We don't want the future altered too much. So why are you called Kid Flash anyway....Wally, was it?
Wallace\\ Because you're still The Flash, unc! You don't do as much as you do now because you're not exactly young and spiffy anymore so you've been training me to take over the red.
Barry\\ It's nice to know Central City is in good hands in the future.
Wallace\\ Absolutely, Unc! Oh and last one to the labs is a rotten egg!
>WHOOSH!<
And in an instant, Wally was on his way to Central City.
Bruce\\ I was able to use some old tech from our tech department to patch into your suits comm as well, so I'll be able to talk to you just like they do at S.T.A.R. labs. Jim will let me know if anything is going on and when I call you, you need to be here as fast as you can. It's not time for The Bat to come out of resting, not yet.
Barry\\ This has been one crazy day... but I'm definitely no rotten egg.
>WHOOSH!<
One more quick instant, with a gust of air, Bruce and Gordon smile as Barry took off behind Wally.
Gordon\\ Well I'll be damned... the kid that's always late is the fastest man alive... And what's this 'pops' stuff he was talking about?
Bruce\\ And they're definitely related. And as for the "pops" stuff, in the mean time he's going to be my illegitimate child to the public. Gotham City needs a Wayne, Jim. And for now, he's it.
