Natalia Knight was raised on the streets of Gotham City alone until Charles Knight unofficially adopted her, raising her in wealth from criminal activities her adopted father was invested in. After her father died and she learned of what funded her lifestyle,she met her adoptive brother,Anton Knight,and the two fell in love.After finishing her degree in astrology and finding work in Gotham City Observatory, an accident with a radioactive laser made her loose all pigmentation in her skin and caused an extreme sensitivity to light.Her and her lover/adoptive brother used the rest of the money they inherited to try and cure and reverse what had been done to Natalia and turned to crime and the skills they would need when the money ran out to continue their lifestyle and to find a cure.This is when Natalia Night becomes Nocturna,with her partner,Night-Thief.
