Barry Allen, one of the best Forensic Scientists in the area, perhaps the best in Central City, was sought out by Gotham City Police Department Commissioner, Jim Gordon, for help on a case. Gordon had a huge hunch... he knew what was going on. He knew that Sionis was behind these murders but he just didn't have a way to prove it. He needed help. He needed more help than he was going to get at GCPD because he needed an expert. And hearing with how good of a job that Barry Allen, the young 25 year old that was struck by lightning in a freak storm and knocked into a coma for 9 months before he miraculously woke, was the best of the best, Jim Gordon went out of his way to contact CCPD. He needed help. Central City had been calm since Barry-- or well, The Flash, if you will, managed to save the city and the entire world from the black hole that was going to destroy time as we knew it. It was now almost 3 months later and the CCPD agreed to let Barry help, until CCPD needed him again. Barry went to S.T.A.R. labs to let Kaitlyn and Cisco know what was going on but if they needed him for anything at all, to just let him know and he'd be there in a "flash." Cisco thought the pun was pretty funny. The only other person Barry needed to see was Iris. Iris was... upset to say the least. She was upset that Eddie was gone. His sacrifice erased Eobard Thawne, the "Reverse Flash," a distant relative and major villain, from history.
He was the love of Iris, and even though she had feelings for Barry, for the time being she made her choice with Eddie and his memory would never be forgotten for what he did. Iris, Joe, Kaitlyn, Cisco and Professor Martin Stein were all worried. They weren't sure that Barry was going to be able to stop it but here we are today and he did it. He did the unthinkable but it just leads us to wonder how much damage could have possibly been done? We knew about alternate timelines now, and it started when Barry tried to stop a tidal wave and ran so fast he went back in time and stopped the wave from ever happening, thus creating an alternate timeline. A timeline where Iris chose Eddie and her feelings for Barry were there, just not as strong as the first time. In the first wormhole before it grew, we saw a strange helmet come through, and Barry and the others didn't quite know what it was but Thawne somehow did, saying that was his "cue to go." What could be on the other side? Did anything cross over and we just don't know about it? So much could have happened. So far everything has been calm and Barry was on his way to Gotham City where he would be meeting with Jim Gordon at the train depot. This was Barry's first time in Gotham so things would be interesting.
So now here we are, it's the evening, almost late night of July 14th, 2015 but you'd never be able to tell because Gotham City always seemed like such a dark and gloomy place. And Barry thought that Starling City was bad, jeesh. The train arrives at the destination and Barry grabs his bags from the train and exits his car where inside of the depot he meets up with Gordon. The meet up and shake hands.
Gordon\\ Mister Alan! Glad you could make it!
Barry\\ Not a problem, Commissioner, just glad I can be of help in any way possible. So they didn't really fill me in on a lot back at CCPD, so.. what's going on?
Gordon\\ There's a great diner just a few blocks from here. Let's go get a bite to eat and I'll fill you in on everything.
The two got into Gordon's car and headed over to the Gotham City Diner, one of Gordon's favorite places to eat. The waitress, Joyce, knew him all too well and was pleased to see a fresh face in Barry. She introduced herself to him, and gave him a run down of the specials but Barry was just craving a good old fashioned Burger and Fries. Gordon was a fan of breakfast himself.
Barry\\ This place is great Commissioner, but since we're here, what's the details happening? Captain Singh said that you asked for me personally because you needed some help with a big case.
Gordon\\ Yeah, actually. A man by the name of Roman Sionis.
Gordon pulls out a manila folder from his bag that was at his side and opened it, showing it to Barry so he could get the details.
Gordon\\ His family, the Sionis family, has a big lineage being part of Gotham's history. The problem is, is that in Gotham not everything is as it seems. Corrupt police officers, corrupt government officials. Even Harvey Dent went a little crazy after the accident and I'm not too sure how I feel about him running for DA again, especially after he almost killed my son, if it wasn't for Batman saving him. God bless Batman, son. He's a real hero. I hear you've got one of those back home too, don't you? The Flash?
Barry\\ Uh... yeah, yep, we sure do. Stopped all kinds of guys with powers you wouldn't believe possible and even stopped a Black Hole. Things just are getting crazier and crazier anymore, and I'm only 25!
Gordon\\ Haha yeah, you've got a long way to go, kid, but I heard you're the best at what you do and that's why I've got you here. See, I don't trust Sionis. There's something off about him and his foundation but I can't put my finger on it. We know he's involved with the mob, and we recently found a body with two shots straight to the chest and just dumped in Crime Alley. I'm almost positive that he and his henchmen are behind it but my team just hasn't been able to figure it out but I think with you taking the lead that's going to change; and then we can finally get this bastard behind bars where he belongs.
Barry\\ Well Commissioner, you've got my word that I'm going to do my absolute best.
"HEEELP! HE STOLE MY PURSE! SOMEBODY HELP ME! STOP HIM!"
Almost instantly both men stood up as they saw the woman yelling for help outside the window, and the purse snatcher is running off. But before they even had a chance to react, it looked like a streak when flying by and the thief was pinned to the near by bench, the woman's purse returned and all in the blink of an eye. Gordon had muttered something like "What's The Flash doing in Gotham?" but it wasn't the Flash because Barry was standing right there. The color of the streak was red... it troubled Barry because he thought he stopped Thawne. In fact he was certain because when Eddie shot himself to erased all future Thawne's in history, which included the Reverse Flash. Was this Barry from another timeline? An alternate Thawne perhaps? But one thing was certain, he needed to let Cisco and Kaitlyn know right away. Something wasn't right about this. And of all places... why Gotham? Why Gotham when Barry is there?
