PERSONAL INFORMATION:
- Real Name: Harvey Dent
- Alias: Gotham's White Knight, Two-Face
- P.O.B: Gotham City, USA
- Occupation: Attorney, formerly Gotham District Attorney
- Marital Status: Single
- Face Claim: Aaron Eckhart
SOCIAL INFORMATION:
- Current Social Status: Assumed to be Villian (at least to those that knew the man as Two-Face)
- Current/Known Associates: Jim Gordon, Bruce Wayne/Batman (both former associates)
- Current/Known Adversaries: Jim Gordon, Bruce Wayne/Batman
ABILITIES:
As Gotham's White Knight he was able to bring the the city closer then it's ever been to peace, Batman even considered hanging it up due to the admirable job he was doing. Famously he orchestrated a grand trial as he managed to secure hundreds of criinals all in the same court room and with a conviction maanged to keep most of them off the streetsof Gotham. As a uniting force he managed to bring the city together with his gift of oratory, charisma, and strong conviction in the law. Being able to think on his feet as well as plan in advance he showed courage by announcing himself as Batman at a press conference n a ruse to lure The Joker out, ultiamtely succeeding by securing his arrest just before tragedy struck.
STRENGTHS/WEAKNESSES:
Harvey Dent despite his flaws is an incredibly intelligent attorney and having dealt with the beaucracy of Gotham his entire adult life he knows his way around the system; this gives him an added edge in negotiation and manipulation in appropriate circumstances. He has shown great courage at times and isn't above using himself as a decoy to achieve the ends of his goals; the risks he makes are very calculated. Harvey's Achilles heel is his own mental instability and the war within himself. Upon the death of his girlfriend, Rachel as well as Joker's plot that left half of his face scarred and disfigured his mind was fractured and distorted. His sense of justice was perverted and during the events of The Dark Knight he resorted to chaos, flipping a coin to make his decisions "It's not about what I want, it's about what's fair!". He relied on this coin until his presumed death and whether or not he still retains these same mannerisms is a matter of debate; only Harvey Dent truly knows what's going on inside his head. Will we get Gotham's White Knight or Two-Face?
BACKGROUND:
Born in Gotham, Harvey Dent graduated from law school with a burning desire to clean up the crime and corruption in the city he called home. His charisma and strong morals quickly won him over with the citizens of Gotham and over the course of several years nearly stomped out the blight of the criminal underground before the emergence of The Joker. With The Joker's gang running wild terrorizing the city and commiting bank robberies, the (by now) District Attorney forged an alliance with Jim Gordon of Gotham PD and Batman to bring the Clown Prince of Crime to justice. After a daring plot The Joker was caught but by doing so Harvey Dent suffered in a great personal sacrifice that would change him forever. When Harvey Dent never made it back home after Joker's arrest it was soon revealed that his girlfriend Rachel Dawes and himself were both being held at seperate warehouses, tied to a chair with explosives set to go off. The Joker gave Gordon and Batman a choice; you can save The District Attorney or Rachel, but you won't have enough time to save both. Gordon and Batman made a desperate attempt to rescue both, Batman was able to save Dent in time, but not without the side of his face being burned after falling into a puddle of gasoline igniting upon the explosion. Rachel however wasn't as lucky as her warehouse exploded just as Gordon and GCPD arrived on the scene. Heartbroken, scarred, and mentally broken Harvey Dent recovered in the hospital before The Joker convinced him to "embrace the chaos" and make the people responsible pay. After a tense standoff, Dent flipped a coin; he flipped once for Batman, shooting him in the stomach. Next he flips the coin for himself, pointing the gun to his own head the result was heads and he spared himself. To Jim Gordon however he pointed the gun to his son, to make him feel the loss of someone he loved. Batman tackles him as the coin is in midair as the two scuffle and fight until what everyone was assumed was his death (the coin did in fact land up as heads, Gordon's son would've ultimately been spared. Batman wouldn't leave that to chance).
However 7 years after his presumed death, Harvey Dent was on the verge of returning to public life. With intensive medical care and the wonders of plastic surgery; Harvey Dent appears to have never suffered the burns from that tragic incident. The question that will be on the minds of Jim Gordon and Batman as well as the citizens of Gotham in due time remains: will Gotham get it's White Knight back, the hero former District Attorney or is Two-Face here to stay?
