STRENGTHS/WEAKNESSES:
Strengths
Lois is an exceptional reporter. With her strong writing and editing skills, she is in a league of her own. Lois has stamina and determination that others simply don't have and refuses to let anyone tell her what she can and cannot do. She's stubborn and has great strength of character. She knows who she is and always fights with a strong sense of justice.
Weaknesses
Lois' brash nature can often come across as rude. If she wants a story from you, she will charm your socks off. If you are of no use to her or are standing in her way, she will either disregard your existence or verbally crush you. She has only a small group of friends as many don't like her and she doesn't like many. She counts Perry White, Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen as the three people she trusts most which means their friendships are strong but (especially since being moved to Gotham) she finds that she is frequently lonely.
BACKGROUND:
Lois Lane was born to Sam Lane, a career military officer, and Ella Lane, an ex reporter. Her father desired a son and was dissapointed with Lois and her two younger sisters when they were born. He treated all three of them as if they were soldiers in his unit. This included combat training. In her childhood, Lois moved around a lot due to her father's work. Her mother Ella had once been a famous reporter for the Gotham Gazette, the City where she had grown up. However, due to the nature of Sam's work, she had to retire early.
The Lane family eventually moved to Metropolis when Lois was 13. On a school trip they visited the Daily Planet building and Lois knew instantly that she wanted to be a journalist. At the age of 15, she approached Perry White, the Planet's top reporter at the time, for a job. She lied and said she was 19. Perry offered her a job but Lois' sister Lucy told Perry the truth about Lois' age.
Lois overheard that getting a scoop on Lex Luthor would get on Perry's good side and Perry was being promoted to Editor in Chief of the paper. She snuck out of the army base that her family was living on and broke into Luthor's home. She stole some files and evaded capture. When she gave the files to Perry, he was so impressed that he hired her.
10 years have since passed. Lois is now one of the Daily Planet's best reporters. She has been sent to Gotham to cover the Grey Knight Festival. Due to the incidents that have taken place over the past few weeks, Perry requested that Lois remain in Gotham for the time being and liaise with the Planet's sister newspaper, the Gotham Gazette.
