"Shoot Out in Gotham; Many Reported Dead"

There was a massive shootout in the heart of downtown Gotham this evening, in an office building on the corner of 79th and Roosevelt as reported by civilians who heard the disturbance. Authorities investigated the disturbance and to their dismay, receptionist Destinie Winters was the first of many found deceased. Upon the 15th floor where others in the building reported the same crime, twelve individuals were found dead with heavy automatic rifles by their sides and a Mister Gambol who suffered a vicious attack from The Joker just a few years ago, was found shot through the leg unable to walk. Medics were able to get him to the hospital in time to prevent him from bleeding out and he is expected to make a full recovery. The incident in question is is believed to be tied in with The Joker due to his "calling card" being left at the scene; multiple joker cards from playing card decks as he appears to be making his way around the streets of Gotham in the shadows, so to speak. A similar incident was reported less than twenty four hours ago with two other victims with joker cards in their jackets. Gotham City Police Department is expected to make a statement in the next few days regarding The Joker.
